Mark Breakdown:
Term Mark = 70%
  • Knowledge = 20%
  • Thinking = 10%
  • Communication = 15%
  • Application = 25%
Exam = 30%

Student Expectations:
  • You are expected to be in class before the bell rings in full uniform
  • You are expected to show respect for your classmates and myself.  I will always respect you.
  • You are expected to attend and participate in class and complete all work and assignments
  • Remember, this is YOUR education.  If you miss a class or don't understand course material it's YOUR responsibility to get help from your peers, online resources, or myself.  I'll be available for extra help most days after school in my Period 4 classroom

Assignments and Tests:
  • If you are going to miss a test, quiz, or in class assignment please let me know ahead of time if possible (in person or email) and we will figure out an appropriate time for you to make it up
  • If it is the case of an unexpected absence for a legitimate reason please provide me with a note of explanation when you return from your absence.  Be prepared to write when you return to school.
  • If the above actions are not taken, you will get a 0 on the test, quiz or assignment
  • Late assignments will be accepted with a penalty discussed in class
  • Plagiarism in assignments or cheating on tests will automatically be assigned a mark of 0

Course Materials:
  • You are expected to come to class prepared with a binder, paper, pencils, pens, a ruler, erasers and a calculator
  • No sharing of materials will be permitted during tests or quizzes
  • Take care of your textbook.  If it comes back in bad shape or doesn't come back at all, you will be responsible for covering the cost of the book.  Bring it to me if it's falling apart and we can fix it up.
